Sensual Institute hosts the planet’s only sensual encyclopedia as a free public resource.
The encyclopedia gives serious language to territories that are often simplified, moralized, eroticized, dismissed, or left unnamed. Its entries move across sensuality, sexuality, embodiment, intimacy, desire, erotic culture, symbols, figures, practices, relational intelligence, and the long history of how human beings have made meaning through the body.
This matters because language changes what can be perceived.
A person cannot easily reclaim a capacity they have only been taught to fear, perform, hide, or consume. A culture cannot mature in its relationship to desire while its vocabulary remains thin. The encyclopedia is a public field of language for the body as a site of knowledge.
